OneKind would like to share the amazing achievement of animal lover and dedicated runner Trish MacKay from Inverness, who in her first year as a OneKind supporter ran four consecutive sponsored fun run events and raised over £1,000.

Trish (pictured right) who took part in the Jog Scotland 5K, Inverness 5K, Baxter’s 10K and the Glenlivet 10K said ‘I have always had a passion and understanding with animals, dare I say it…..I sometimes prefer animal company to human.  As Mark Twain said ‘The more I know about people, the better I like my dog!’

Trish first became interested in the work we do at OneKind when she read a tweet comment by the comedian Ricky Gervais.  She then decided to check out our website for herself and subsequently registered her interest. Trish said ‘When the e-mails come through, I try to do my bit by forwarding on any campaign messages to my friends, to try and spread the word as far as possible.  If you were to ask me why I love animals? It’s simple - animals are AMAZING!’

Thanks Trish - we think you’re pretty amazing too!

If you or someone you know is thinking of running for OneKind and would like further information about runs on offer throughout the UK, please visit our Runners' Club page.

Many thanks to Trish and all our supporters – we look forward to making a real difference in 2013, for as many animals as possible, as soon as possible.  We can’t do it without you.
