Show you care for the mountain hare: join us on the 17th of November at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh for a protest against mountain hare culling.

Hare hug

Mountain hare are indigenous to Scotland. They’re an iconic species that are a joy to see, and yet they’re being killed in huge numbers across Scotland for sport and in the unfounded belief that it will benefit red grouse, which people pay big money to shoot. We believe this is unethical and cruel and are calling on the Scottish Government to urgently introduce new protections for the mountain hare, particularly in our National Parks. If you agree, please show you care for the mountain hare by joining us on the 17th November.

When?

The 17th November from 12 -2PM or for as long as you can spare.

Where?

In front of the Scottish Parliament in central Edinburgh.

What?

This will be a small, fun and good-natured event that will send a powerful signal to our elected representatives that they must take action and end the killing.

What do I do next?

Let us know you’re coming by signing up here. This gives us an idea of numbers and once you’ve signed up we can email you more information about the day.
